Questions about using libGGPK2.
I've been playing around with it in order to change righteous fire, I personally can't see my overlay map when I'm using the skill, so I tried to change this with libGGPK2.
I started with loading up the program, locating the righteous fire files, and then I simply extracted and converted the DDS files into PNGs
I then changed all the PNGs in Photoshop to being completely transparent.
I then imported the edited PNGs and converted them into DDS files again.
This was the result.
Now, I still would like to remove the things in the middle, just under the character, but I have no idea how to locate or find out what that is, its not any of the PNGs I got from extracting the righteous fire DDS files, how do I find out what it is?
I felt a little awkward making a thread about this, but I cant seem to find the answer googling about it.
TLDR: how do I find out what the thing currently on my screen is called in the file?

reach out to following person, they are pretty good with what you are trying to do
mem...55274-vmv.html
mmo...tool-mods.html
there was 1 more person/thread who created a similar thing to what you are doing, sorry i lost that thread/person.
EDIT: found that thread: https://www.ownedcore.com/forums/mmo...lask-more.html

If I did not reply to you, it mean the question you are asking is stupid.

Don't modify *.dds unless you want to keep them visible and change the appearance.
You need to find the loaded effects that are triggering the load of those *.dds - and stop those from loading.
To find out what effects are loaded in an area.. use GameHelper Data Visualization.. and save that preloaded file.
Use Notepad++ and go for lines with ... metadata\effects , metadata\particles ...
Open VisualGGPK2 and find those lines .. edit them, and save after.

Got it working as I wanted, thanks again Vmv, you really helped me out, this has been an unplayable skill for my eyes before this
Oh, and since I hate it when people make threads about problems, and not posting solutions after fixing it, here it goes:
Locate these files in your content.ggpk / _index.bin(steam)
Metadata/Effects/Spells/ri_fire/bottom.epk
Metadata/Effects/Spells/ri_fire/player.epk
and simply delete the text within them, and save.
