setup guide PoE 1 Game Helper

Hi, first of all if you do decide to respond i thank you very much.

A few months ago a old friend of mine installed the ownedcore Game Helper light version, the problem is we did it together and i dont know how he did it anymore.
Is there a guide somehwere i can find on how to safely install the Game Helper? We also did the external user on my pc setup, i do know there is a written guide out on the forms for that but id like to also know if there is a guide just to install the GameHelper.

im lost for hope and have been looking for about 2 hours on the internet now. id like to use the one from GameHelper since i played an entire league with it and still have not gotten banned so that gives me more trust in it. I downloaded the zip folder first but it does not have a readme or something with install guide in it to run and make it work safely.

This project appears to be abandoned for both PoE1 and PoE2. My personal guess is that it's either due to detection concerns—since the developer mentioned it must be used with a limited user account to avoid a ban—or simply because the update process is too time-consuming, given the multiple entry points for different datasets.

GameHelper is a lightweight project that is fast to use and lightnight-fast ready for new league. But it is a project developed by but one man. So, depending on life-work balance choices of the developer, project is online or offline. For last years it was my first-pick where it comes to PoE. If it is online and you need something un-bloated, its a thing to go.

Curretly GameHelper's dev took some time away because of real life stuff, but we are in good hands - we still have very good tool like PoeAPI, with living development, many plugins, etc... It's not that easy tp setup and beginer can get overwhelmed, but it works and is ban free* (as long you are not an idiot spaming automa-clicks without user-separation).

As for bans and "limited user account" - it is standard strategy that I will try to explain below:
Games and anti-cheats have the same rights to your files and systems like a system user you are running them. So, if you run them with admin or main user rights - you give them info that could lead to finding out that you are no so legit player. That is why we need to limit that access as much as possible. One way (and probably the easiest) is to create new user account on your computer, with access restricted to only game folder and without admin rights. That way user A (admin / main computer user) can run cheats and user B (restricted access, non-admin) runs only PoE. That way, Poe's anti-cheat has no permissions to see what you are running and if there are any non-legit programs on the drive. That leaves GGG with much less options to hunt you down. Of cource, they can observe what you are doing (via logs, scripts, etc...), but if you are smart - you are ban free. My main and few secondary accounts are ban free since beta. The rule of thumb is to avoid auto-clicking, automated mouse-movement and game content replacement. That leaves you with still juicy options like Radar, items highlightning, etc...
