So the zen rate is dropping like a stone on Mindflayer. From ~325 - 300ish in the past day and a half. Any ideas on this?

saw there were 160.000 zen to 299 at one time ;D
beholder has been between 319 and 368 over the last 3 days, flucutations. I suspect normal mudflation and waning interest combined with the AD market being flooded with diamonds.
New bonus for purchasing Zen and ADs being consumed by auction house. Nothing special.
Double AD week coming up in a week or two. Maybe that has something to do with it. I'm no economist though.
Some people are trying to 'work' the market, buying and selling to make profit, however they are failing horribly and as a result left with a lot of stuff they can only sell by undercutting and not gaining anything. What with them ****ing about doing this and the game being new still as well as the recent amount of falsified AD from the AH exploits and the amount of AD sellers nothing is stable at all right now, expect it continue like this for a while still.
^ this... horrible undercutting going on.. first guy sells for 320 ad, second for 319, and so on..
Undercutting and competing on price I understand.
What I cannot figure out though is why I see so many jeweled idols for sale at prices that will net the seller less than 40k after commission.
Maybe they don't understand the AH sellers fee?
It's the worst with epic shirts/pants.
For the longest time they were running 600-800k per which is admittedly a little high but now that more and more people are maxing their crafting skills, everyone wants a piece of that pie, and you get absurd undercutting. Like I'll have shirts or pants up for ~300k and someone will come along and undercut to 299... ok fine, another guy, 298, alright.. then bam someone throws a bunch up for like 220... its like what the ****? and then they'll sit there and keep posting more for 220, until people start undercutting that price. Now the very reasonable 280-300k price range has come down to an almost unprofitable ~150-175k price range which barely covers the goddamn Dragon Egg used to craft it in the first place.
People are retarded
That's a free market, though. If it's worth 220K to them, that's what they'll sell it at. Competition, really. This forces you to either sell yours at that price to compete or get out of the game.
The AH really determines the value of items, which is why dupe bugs and ward exploits causes such a fluctuation.
