[Exploit]Gem items and keep the gems to use again

Yeah and I perfected this exploit so you don't have to do the damn switcheroo with the gems.

1.) Open the trade
2.) Insert the Gem into the weapon/armor
3.) While in the "Cast", get the used gem into the trade window
4.) Wait for the "Castbar" to finish
5.) Now the easier part...just cancel the trade and bam
6.) You got the Gem AND the Gemmed Weapon/Armor at once

Ok you have an item with a gem in it and the gem back.
Can you now get the gem out of the item so you have 2 gems or is this exploit to gem up your gear with only 1 (good) gem?
Think its the last but just asking.

don't thin it works anymore or im doing it wrong but once i put socket into any part of armor it becomes grey in my bag so i can't select it again till i remove it from armor back into bags.
