Come three years from now, we will all perish.
ORLY?
AoC is a "Games for Windows" title, it will never be ported to Mac.
1. Download XP
2. Use Bootcamp
3. Boot XP
4. Play AoC
Get a PC. Mac=programs/editing PC=fun
indeed PC are fun
Go... get... a... windows... computer...
Ive been into computers my whole life and ive never understood why a select few people like Mac's. Do they have some specific program you would want? Is it just "cool" to be different? Because it seems like a waste of money with almost EVERYTHING being for windows.
I personally cannot stand MAcs. But as you said it was your parents idea. So save up some money and build a pc. Much more gaming fun in store for you. XD
Stand Rigid For The Next Battle.......
You're not missing out on anything. I will never leave my Mac, since it pwns windows in every way (Snow Leopard (10.6.0) will kick ass). But lets not get into an OS war.. There are like 4 mainstream programs for emulating windows. Just google it. (Parallels being one of them, then Crossover, and Bootcamp)
Apparently you have never used a mac... People who use macs are people who are sick of bugs, viruses, and the ****ing annoying messages asking for permission all the time. Spend any time with a mac, and you'll fall in love with it, and the next time you step into windows you'll just be annoyed again and again and again.
To the OP:
If you have leopard, bootcamp comes installed on your computer. Simply run the launcher, grab a copy of either vista or XP and follow the simple instructions. I'm playing AoC atm and its running great.
If you know how to use a PC right, you don't get bugs, or viruses, or annoying permission problems. At least I don't.
I was thinking the same thing... I havn't had a bluescreen or virus in years, and I don't think ive ever had a permission problem. (always only one account though)
Worst ive had to deal with is once I get wayyyy too much clutter on the thing from downloading stuff all the time, and it bogs down eventually. So I just take the 2 hours (maybe 10 minutes actually watching) and reformat it...
Although, Im still on XP. I hear vista sucks and im not looking forward too it until they patch it some more.
Permission messages are what you get every time you try to move a file in vista, open a file in vista, download a file in vista, do anything in vista. Luckily XP don't have these. But sure, you can "know" how to use a PC, but thats the difference. On mac you don't have to "know" how to use it, no worrying about viruses, security is superb + noone bothers to hack it cause 90% of people still use PC's. And if you absolutely HAVE to use windows for somethings, install it! With support even.
