If you are able to bypass the los check function, would you be able to bypass the range check function ? The 'is my target close enough to start casting that spell' check ?

Since when the server is laggin you can cast on someone you see while he is in fact too far away or not in sight, this check looks to be client-sided.

mhh. because your ability to cast varies with the reachability of the server, you conclude that it is client side ? woud it not be totally independend of your connection quality if it was client side ?
When you cast while the server laggs, did you ever do damage to your target ? i would not think so.

As far as i've looked the range check is server side ( as is the arc of fire check ), but i'am happy if somebody proves i'am wrong.

There was a patch this morning on US servers, without any herald post to say what it was for, but that has happened before, so......

Thats what happens when you use cheats in front of other players...they report you and you get banned. your own fault
