I'm not really far enough in my career, engineer, to really say anything but anyone else have any good insight?

Engineers are pretty good. You can get a somewhat OK feel for the class around lvl 11, but a better feel once you hit lvl 20 as that's when you'll have most of your abilities. Once you get your trap and land mines, it'll be fun.
I've been playing a Black Orc for a few phases in beta and fell in love with the class. rank 21, rr 16 right now and I'm a beast!
I'm going DPS spec with Path of 'Da Brawler and my 2h axe!

Im playing the Magus atm (destruction equ of engie) and what i have found thus far (lvl 8 but i had exams during the pre-release ) is that the pets are semi-useless (atleast magus one are) and that you will rip up anything with long ranged (red fire/gun)
Going to go path of havoc (long ranged dps/pink horror) as i can get guys below 1/2 health before they get to me atm
anyone who has a 20ish Desciple or witch hunter, could you post your oppinion?
Magus' get better, trust me. We have one in my guild and he is consistantly at the top of DPS charts. They are squishy, but hey, they're targetted first because they are such a threat IMO. Magus' also get this cool pet around 17, he summons a nurgling which runs up to the mob and explodes, kinda cool =)
Yea can anyone suggest me a class, I really can't decide. They all look so awesome! I just want one that is pretty balanced.
I'm still wandering from one to the other.
Trying zealot now, exact same as the runepriest i got to lvl 11, as far as spells go :P
I hate being unable to heal though, it ends up with me
1) dieing, no health, got bored of waiting
2) standing at the backlines waiting for heals
3) standing at the backlines, waiting for 20 minutes for my health to cap again, then going back.
I'm gonna be a shaman, waaagh!
^Good intro for a War version of these WoW Commercials.
I went Magus and it's really fun. At level 6 I'm at the top of the DPS on our server with level 10 characters. The pets are ok but they are no where near worth using on any of the quest I've done. Only time I use them are in Realm vs Realm and in the Community Quest..
"Destruction of the Weak" or something like that. I did it a few times and those hero's and champions just ate me alive so I started using the pets more.

It depends on what you want to play
4 Archetypes
Tank (Destruction: Chosen, Black Orc) (Order: Swordmaster, Ironbreaker)
Melee DPS: (Des: Marauder, Witch Elf) (Order: Witch Hunter, White Lion)
Range DPS: (Des: Squig Herder, Magus, Sorceress/er) (Order: Bright Wizard, Shadow Warrior, Engineer)
Support/Heal: (Des: Zealot, Shaman, Desciple of Khaine) (Order: Warrior Priest, Rune Priest, Arch Mage)
So pick a Archetype and then look at the classes within
Mythic Entertainment | Warhammer Online is a good place to start
They all have their own mechanics that are distinct to them and their own look (eg armor will tell a Magus and Zealot appart Easially)
Good luck
I'm playing a Zealot - I never played a healer before but this game put a twist on healers, I can heal and DPS fairly ok. Basically I debuff my target which contributes to all spell casters and it can DPS and pop a quick heal, when times get rough I switch my tactics to heal and I try my hardest to keep those tanks up.
Anyone got any insight on Black Orc? Thinking 'bout buying the game soon, and then starting a Black Orc. Are they any good?
All Characters/Races have their own unique abilities. They might be good for some where as others thing they suck so if you really want to know about Black Orcs', you need to buy it and just try it.
I was leveling a Magus but just started a Zealot and I love it so far. I'm only level 4 and with this character I haven't done anything other than Scenarios and Public Quest. That's the fastest way to level in this game.
