Minecraft small guide

For people who just started playing this game. One of the things you should be having in background when playing this game is minecraft wiki There you find all what you can craft and how you have to craft it if you click on the items on the wiki site it gives information on how to get it too etc.

Surviving the first night:

If you logged in during the day the environment looks all colorfull and easy. Don't get deceived by this because when the sun goes down and night starts. All kind of monsters spawn across the country. So before night kicks in try to make a small house to hide in when night starts. Does not have to look good just a simple house should be fine to survive the night. You should worry about a nice house later on playing the game when you got your self more stuff.

When one of these creepers managed to kill you or you fell down from somewhere or managed to kill your self you got 5 minutes time to get to your items. If you did not make it in less then 5 minutes to your items they will despawn and you have to start all over. Be carefull with lava if you fall in it all your items will be destroyed by it. So don't go exploring/mining with all your stuff with you. Store them in your locked chest incase you die so you don't have to start all over.

The first things you should be doing when gathering your first items is to look for trees so you can get your self some wood. When you gathered some wood you have to make wooden planks and sticks.

When you made this items you can make your crafting table


And now time for some simple tools untill you got your self some cobblestone. Axe, pickaxe and shovel. With axe you can chop wood faster down. The better axe you got the faster you can chop it down and more durability. And if you got the wood from the trees try to chop some leaves down too. You got a small chance to receive a sapling and can start your own wood farm.

With the wooden shovel you can dig faster through dirt, sand and gravel. Untill you find your self some stone. Now change to your wooden pickaxe and start hitting stone to receive cobblestone from it. Wooden pickaxe is not really good as it breaks fast down and can't break a lot of ores you will be finding.

So now that you got your self some cobblestone you can upgrade your tools and make a smelter now.


With smelter up you can make your very own ore and don't have to be looking for it underground so you secure your little house with torches.

Light stops creepers,zombies,spiders, etc from spawning at the location you put up light here are a few examples:

So now that you made your torches and keeping the monsters out your house you can start improving your house and getting creative with it and farm stuff at night too.


Commands

Here are couple of important commands you can use on ownedcore server.

/sethome Like the words says you can set your home anywhere you want to teleport to it later
/home Teleport to your home
/spawn Teleport to spawn point
/who See who is online

If you get promoted to creative rank this is what you can use

/god You become immortal
/i You can spawn items and here are the id's to spawn them ID


Coords

If someone gives you his coords or you want to know yours then you press F3 on your keyboard



Signs

The server allows you to use signs to lock up your chests and doors and this is how you can do it. Put sign one block infront of your door or chest or for doors works also above it.


If you want to lock your chest/door then write this on your sign
[Private] *your name*

If you want to share your chest/door with a friend then write like this on your sign
[Private] *your name* one line down *your friends name*
