Ranger pet - Updated (past-patch)

Hello, I searched didn't find anything.

Since the ranger pet swap got fixed by putting a cooldown on the swap, they didn't fix the issue itself.

The pets still have a reset on cooldown every time they go out/in.
A way to still take advantage of this is by standing near the water.
Pop whatever spell, go 2 steps down in the water, far enough to get you swimming / diving / whatever, (Pet gets dismissed) and then up. Voila! repeat as you were.

Can you explain what have you done? Stacked might or something else,since might stacking doesn't last verylong so you're limited to water areas.

another way to do it is to open up your pet menu. you then use the skill, switch out your pet by using the drop-down menu, then swap it back. involves more clicking but you can do it anywhere

what i did was i took this idea to another level, i will share it soon once ive exploited it abit before everyone knows it and it gets fixed, but ill give you a hint, this very same idea works with different things

edit: once i hit 500gold, im at 250 atm

I tried both this in water with Red moa for stacking the buff duration, I got it up to 2 minutes max then it seemed to not go higher. Same when doing it while swapping pets in pet menu.

Did they add a limit to stacking the buff or am I using the wrong pet?

Seems like a troll to me. Afaik, there is no pet that grants might and allows duration stacking. As far as I know, GW2 always lets you know what's stackable in terms of boons.

Even if you're specced in to Concentration Thinking, Mighty Swap, and Malicious Training you still don't stack duration on the might buff the jungle stalker gives.

Please correct me if I'm wrong as I just started playing the game a few days ago and I have yet to go in to deep research about game and class mechanics.

@ Mygel, yes I believe they did add a cap to the duration stacking for the Red Moa's buff.

You can stuck might buffs up to 25 and duration of other boons up to 1minute. Same for conditions 25 bleed/vuln, up to 1min of burning, poison, etc.

but the issue is, you can not stack any boon in a way that would allow you to "one shot veterans". Not for extended periods of time.

reason i dont want to post it just yet, is cause then they will most likley fix my method, as of now im one of the very few that know about this. and the reason i wont tell anyone just yet is cause of the legendaries you can craft, we are a few ppl thats crafting em and selling / using them. and we dont want our way to be fixed just yet.

belive me or not, and its not about"pet" but the same tactic works on other things.

You mean something like evey other class can do this? or only the Ranger?
