Change permmanent bann for 72h bann

if you log out and relog you can't buyback from the same vendor right? don't the items in the buyback section disappear? and what do you mean stay afk for 3 days? i don't think i was even able to stay for 6 hours straight AFK without getting booted. not to mention client can crash/they'll announce server restarts with like 1 hour notice.

Yeah, it was just an idea.

Honestly I don't think they have the ability/manpower to properly track this. They didn't ban a lot of the exploiters with the Chili Poppers thing because a lot of legit people used the vendor, and bought a bunch of the mats to level up. It's hard to differentiate who was legit and who was exploiting. So they only banned the most outrageous offenders (spending extremely high amounts of Karma).

They were able to ban everyone accurately this time because the entire vendor was glitched. That's why they banned ANYONE that purchased something from the vendor, even if it was only 1 weapon. All they had to do was check the logs for that 1 vendor, and ban all the names that purchased something from it. Easy enough.

Checking each individual account to see what items they obtained from the forge, and if they deleted/sold/salvaged/mail them? Extremely unlikely. If my account didn't mean much to me I'd definitely give it a shot (assuming I obtained a bunch of pre-legendaries or something). They might check to see if you destroyed SOMETHING, but not a thorough check for everything.

However, like I said, tonight's banning made me realize I do NOT want to lose my account, so I'm not taking that chance. I can get Dusk/Dawn back later somehow.

I'm just going to get another account and on the banned one not log in. If I didn't log in there should be no way I could of destroyed the items meaning down the road when I can use them I have it and I'm in the clear.

He seems to be unbanned, ofc he can send the items via mail, what does Anet wanna do about that? They want the players to del the items themselfes, no item there = nothing to destroy. Anet might "ask" his friend to del it, whatever

Dont think itll matter whether you login or not, if the items are present they will re-ban, imo

they can track the mail, they will find out, and you get ban hammered anyway and the other account might be ban too.

Man.. I'm so tempted to send the items to someone but I'm scared that I will get banned again, I think it is possible for them to check the inventory of everyone who has made an appeal but will they check who you've traded with? don't know.

I don't really know how ANet is trying to justify a permanent or even 72 hour ban for something that was not an exploit but their mistake. No odd behavior, editing of files, or any other malicious behavior was even required to do this so called "exploit". Oh well, i'm glad I do not **** around with the stuff found on this site for now. Arena Net is hot on the ban hammer.
