they will if you have id to match the new accounts. never mind the surname. as i said just say it was a nickname or a mistake. thats what i went with.

I dont see the reason why a level 18 character should be restricted, but it's blizzard ($$$)...

if not go upgrade and transfer your chars. omy. just ignore that other guy you'll be able too transfer. and call blizz in a few days.

1 month ago, i transferred lots of chars. on my 3rd char i had too wait 7hrs. i think its a security feature too stop mass transfers.
look theres no problem transfering as long as surnames are the same on old/new account, and your full name is in the "First Name" info for when you ring blizz.

i dont understand what the problem is. if you want too transfer a char. it has too have been upgraded. whats the problem?

just upgrade too cata and transfer your chars, then come back too me. ps: you wont be able too upgrade untill the battlechest clears. which maybe an hour or 7hours. google the problem, or call blizzard.

yes sometimes they work, and sometimes it takes hours. pm234 isnt the only one.

pm234 just ignore that troll. just wait for battlechest too clear. then upgrade. transfer your toons. thats the first step too renaming it. you will still have too phone blizzard. but they will change it if you put your photo id name on the accounts name. explain to them it was a nickname or a spelling error.

look mate, i just know what i done before. im no pro or anything. im only telling you how i do it. and i was like you. i took a chance. and it paid off. i have done this 3 times so far. my own person accounts. with no problems. and each phone call i made i got a different person and noone questioned anything. first thing they did ask for was my id. and i told them its in my ticket. yes they check too see if name matches account, and they did ask me about me id's surname been differnt than the accounts. in which i told them it was a nick name. thats what i said. each time they changed it for me. your no different.
