Looking for a program or a place to start.

So I'm finally trying to delve into the world of coding and programming and I wanted to start by making a bot of sorts.

Just simple tasks like open a program run it, then if A comes up then close it, if B comes up then run another setting for B, etc. After done with Program A close it and open program B and do the same thing.

Is there a program that exists that can do this? Or would I have to make it myself?

I have a lot of downtime now so I'm willing to learn, I just want to know where to start or what to use to achieve what I want.

Hey, I'm not sure if this will be of any help, but Khan Academy has a Programming section. They're very efficient and thorough with how they teach, and you may find it quite the asset. Here's a link to the site for ya https://www.khanacademy.org/

AutoIt is able to interact with most other programs and/or games. There are some simple tutorials and many people who know the language. I would suggest starting there. You can use it to make macros or full blown programs and bot.
