    How can I hook lua functions/variables like lua_state & more??

    I'm new here, and I thought this would be the best place to ask so I joined!
    I have a little reverse engineering skills and I can program in the most popular languages. (Except for Java I am just learning it)

    My question is how could I hook onto lua_state, lua_pushstring etc from code like in C++. (Maybe using Detours) and read what it is. (And since its hooked I can change it if I wanted)

    And do I need a signature? If So how do I obtain it also.

    I'd be grateful for any help I can get! I keep searching and my hands are still *mostly* empty.
