IDA beginner help

Hi,

i done my first crackmes and tutorials in IDA.

I am right now testing in Guild Wars cause i have there working bots.

I found with IDA alot if interesting things but right now i wanted to look for the memorys i found so far we CE easily.

for i eg i know my position with

just for eg these are not real

x 3123123
y 234234


Memory in CE

Posx = 0xd551bc
Posy = 0xd551c0

ok so thought i can browse with IDA the memory region 0xd551bc and find out something like the X location. BUt i dont find any soltion to jump to memory adress 0xd551bc . So i searched in IDA for the string of my x coordinate also dont work.

Some one have a tutorial for ida mmo ? I looked in your wow mem section but these are right now still to high for me i need to learn on the base

You can use CE to find out what accesses/writes your x/y values. Open up ida, jump to the address, that accesses your x/y and find out what the client is doing and why it is doing it.

I don´t know any good ida toutorials. But there´s a great book that covers most important stuff.
"The ida pro book. 2nd edition". It also gives a lot of hints, how to actually reverse your target.

HI,

i scanned around that Area with IDA and found alot of shortcuts.. but IDA is still a miracle to me cause i have funtion trees and more but i dont know how to reverse it.
I made in the memory of death a breakpoint to look what happen, each time the bp was reached cause the game scan this memory all the time.

so i tried for some playerbase to look to find the offsets but i dont found them.

i just need one eg to start somehow.
