    whichbook for learning programming

    which book for beginning programming should i pick up and would be most useful in creating a wow bot (in the future) a book on ".NET" in C#, c++ (i find these tend to be for websites but im not intrested in making a website in net) or programming in "Visual basic" or an "Aspiring Programmers" book. also i do not know the difference so if someone could please explain.
