I dont know if this information is correct.
The Overwatch servers had their alpha builds updated to 1.0 Beta, this is one of the server IP´s that houses the current 1.0 Beta
12.129.222.161
Also this used to be a WoW server IP
could be BS.

i don't know open this file... I do not know whether the file is interesting.
I've a folder in AppData/Romaning/Battle.net/Armadillo/ (Armadillo ??)
with a file : prolivedev.ak (1kb)
(and if you excute this : --game=hs_test --install, battle.net try download PTR hearthstone, but requieres a key xD )

screenshot ? fake ? <3
It's a legit screenshot, although I can imagine that you wouldn't quite trust me considering my low rep count. All that was done is launching Battle.net.exe (Not the launcher) with the arguments of both --game=prometheus_dev --install through the command line. However, it asks for an encryption key which we don't have... as is such, it will refuse to actually install or download additional files.
... ah...
look date + screenshot :'D

Yeah don't mind me... Apparently I am blind xD
But yeah, sorry about that, although in the future it might be wise to quote the post wish you are referencing.
As a side note, my Battle.net client now has both Overwatch's DEV & Live versions listed, even if I have no access to any of the assets... Man I would love to poke around and archive whatever misc elements are in the Dev client.
"Overwatch dev" is in 1.0.0.22123 version Oo

but "overwatch" is in 0.4.2.6.21920 version :O

Sounds about right,
My guess is that currently the "non-Dev" Overwatch variant is the version they use for showcases & events, where as the Dev-version is for the in-house and/or Friends & Family testing. I've been doing some poking around, but so far I haven't managed to get anywhere with it yet...
PS: Additional supporting information is the fact that players who have gotten to play Overwatch @ events have yet to mention any other characters but those who have already been (Officially) revealed by Blizzard. Meanwhile, we know that there is at least one (possibly two) more characters that haven't been revealed yet. (Check right below "Overwatch" in the background of the Battle.net client's Overwatch tab) This leads to the assumption that the builds available for the Dev's to test would have access to all the characters, but not the builds the public has.
