[Win10] Unrecognized executable or libary: Infinity.Lua.dll
Hello,
I can not start TH on windows 10. Did a fresh TH install, D3 is running in 32bit windowed mode, but TH doesn't even start and gives me an error during startup:
Code:
Error MessageBox:
Unrecognized executable or libary. Terminating.
Infinity.Lua.dll
It wont even create the /logs and other folders during initialization. I have Windows 10 with all latest updates with .NET 4.6.01586 (which includes .NET 4.0, 4.5, 4.5.1, 4.5.2 and 4.6), but I am unsure if TH targets the correct .NET version. Is there any way to force TH to use a specific version, because I think this error is produced from .NET?
I tried to install .NET 4.5.2, but it can't be installed, because a newer version is already existent.
Code:
Eventviewer Log:
Anwendung: TurboHUD.exe
Frameworkversion: v4.0.30319
Beschreibung: Der Prozess wurde aufgrund einer unbehandelten Ausnahme beendet.
Ausnahmeinformationen: System.Exception
bei Turbo.HUD.frmMaster..ctor(System.String[])
bei . ( [] gnirtS.metsyS )
// EDIT: All the other older TH versions were running perfect on this machine.

Do a clean install into an empty folder. Make your shortcut point to this new one.
You either installed into old folder or your shortcut points to your old one

Wow thanks. The trick is to really use an _empty_ folder.
I had a fresh TH installation, but put all the old files into a subfolder within this folder. This worked with all TH versions for years, but not with the newest version. -> Problem solved.

KJ enforced a new rule some releases ago : if any dll or exe file is inside hud folder (or subfolder) it won't load.
This was done to avoid some chinese guy (if you read me zq ^^) to tamper the hud binaries.
