I'll take a stab, since i remember reading most of the crazy guy threads:

Killer John is selfish and wants all the fame and glory for himself. He wants to be the only one who can update HUD meanwhile there is a whole community of people who can easily do this. Do not fall for the lies, he is greedy and can release HUD but chooses to make us wait.
