Listener for chat messages?
I'd love to be able to write plugins that would help my party communicate with each other while we play without having to remember things like who needs what items for a build.
If I could get access to chat messages, ie some event fires via an IChatMessageListener I'd add some things to type in chat that a plugin would listen for, such as
Code:
.need The Compass Rose
and then when an item drops for a player, a notification is displayed saying which player needs the item that was just dropped.
But currently of course there's no way to listen for chat messages. I imagine it would be relatively simple to implement, and I'm crossing my fingers that you're taking feature requests!

Wait.. drops are account-bound, aren't they?
Do not send me private messages unless it is absolutely necessary or the content is sensitive or when I ask you to do that...

They are shareable for 2 hours with the players ingame when it dropped
And btw, it's 2 ingame hours, if you disconnect the timer stop till you relog.

Well, in team game loot drops from levels (not from Kadala) are eligible for anyone to pick up in the team for some time period, if you drop them on the ground (e.g. in town).
If I remember correctly item tooltip shows how long and for who items can be given by dropping in the ground.
It is common practice to drop items you don't need in from of blacksmith instead of savaging them.
If you go to Myriam to enchant one of you items, in the first time you are told that the item will be "account bound".
I guess that is from the days when items could be sell or something?

wtf, I played D3 waaaaay to long time ago
so when it is dropped, only you can see, but if you pick up and drop it to the ground then i'll be visible for others if you drop it in the first 2 hours? if you drop it after 2 hours elapsed, others won't see it, or they see just can't pick up?

Legendary
I was trying out the new added function and by dumping chat messages (using currentLine) into a file I see that some messages are repeated without reason and that other messages are ignored. For example:
If someone writes me a private one and at that moment I go to the menu, that message comes to me twice.
If they write to me privately several times the same message, only one of them arrives
Maybe I'm doing something wrong, I do not understand why this happens.
