    Appearing offline.

    Hi everyone.

I've been trying to find a way to appear offline from battle.net--I read a few threads about adding a new rule in your firewall settings, but when I did that I would get dropped from the D3 servers as well, not just the chat servers.

Is there a way to appear offline in D3? Someone PM'd me yesterday and not responding was pretty bad.

    Appearing offline.

Not everyone is on the forums 24/7 - don't expect an answer right away when you PM someone.

Try this: Change your windows clock time/date and relaunch D3.

Sorry, I meant that someone PM'd me in-game and it looked bad when I didn't respond.

What does changing my time/date do to make me appear offline?

I'm not sure it'll make you appear offline, but it should prevent the servers from showing new legendary/achievements to your guildies / friends.

Hmm. Interesting. Do you know what specifically about the time settings prevents broadcasting? I guess I'll load up a fresh vm and give it a whirl, just to see what happens.

“Appear Offline” Option Coming Soon to Battle.net
Just wait for them to implement it in 3 years since it was "soon" 2 years ago.
