"Unless a public dupe is released the prices will bearly change" Let's just say radiant star were over 200m upto 500m a piece, all half decent items were bought for 2bil, Let's just say this dupe was more public then any dupe has been ever, it was all over the forums and every corner. Some people managed to get upto and over trillion gold.

Gold trading is still disabled as far as I'm aware (it was last night at least) so you can't even buy gold right now. Regardless, gold was going for 3 to 3.5 cents per million before the dupe became doable so I dunno how much cheaper you could want it. You can buy a billion gold for $25-35 and possibly even cheaper once gold trading is re-enabled if people were able to retain the duped gold without blizzard doing individual rollbacks.

In regards to TommyT, this was probably the most public a dupe could EVER be since the entire playerbase seemingly knew about it immediately after the patch went live! Everyone and their mother that had access to at least 6 billion gold was duping it at least once just to see if it really worked... Tons of people even went and bought 6 billion gold just so they could use the overflow exploit. Public is an understatement, the only drawback on reducing gold prices is that the AH came down only a few hours after the dupe was discovered and of course that the economy is going to be destroyed in the long term if this duped gold ends up retained. For players like me that only have 20 million gold (lol) the 2 billion gold premium for decent items is going to really screw up our experience.

Blizzard isn't rolling back either. Instead they are reviewing the duplication exploits case by case. There are going to be very few people left in this game...

1. Gold was only duped in the U.S
2. Blizzard didn't roll back, but that was only because they knew who each and everyone was.
3. They are banned.
4. I'm EU.. U.S Servers might still be a little inflated, but should not take long to be fixed anyways.
