Blizzard hacked?

It would appear that someone, somehow, was able to hack into Blizzard's Diablo® III. The message, "SYSTEM: Justin Bieber has been sent to your stash" randomly appeared, astounding players. Roughly 30 minutes after the first incident, another SYSTEM message appeared, quoted "SYSTEM: 10,000,000 has been sent to your stash." Upon checking, I was, quite unfortunately, not sent 10 million gold.





What do you all think?
Could this be a hacker, and if so, just how much power does he have?
Or is this just an angry GM who was fired, or one who quit and had nothing better to do?

Only time will tell, as you can be sure the official forums will be flooded with questions. And of course, let me know what you think about this in the comments, as I love to read them!

Someone found out how to fake system messages through use of channels most likely. Leave channels it might stop appearing.

When I saw this I laughed pretty hard. Was just before I logged.

I wonder if it'll become the D3 equiv. of "The Ice Stone has melted!"

Likely similar to when players were linking items that would make other players system crash

Someone being simultaneously online in World of Warcraft and Diablo 3 and able to redirect whispers from Diablo 3 to WoW?
And yeah, Diablo 3 has a slightly more allowing syntax, I think.

Well I have seen a gm talking in trade chat before. This was only because the gm was logged into the character and forgot to remove the gm tag.
