Getting unbanned

I recently bought a battle.net acc for WoW, and on it is a banned D3 account (banned for using a gear macro or something). Now this didn't bother me at first because I don't play D3, but I want to start playing it.

So since the account has been permabanned, and since my I.P is different than the one at the time of the ban, do you think I could claim I was hacked, or do you think that would bring unnecessary attention to my account?

I want try say my D3 acc was hacked and then banned but I'm afraid they'll investigate the entire bnet acc and ban it. I've owned it for 3 weeks now if that makes a difference.

Yes the IP is linked to the entire battle.net account. They'll see your IP as the irregular IP and probably ban the account on suspicion of real world trading.
I suggest you just create another Battle.net account and try to find a cheap copy of D3.

Well that's what I was fearing, but I have made support tickets for WoW since I bought it. Do you think they would have, for whatever reason, seen my ('irregular') I.P while answering those tickets?

I guess they could check it, but I wouldn't risk it.
