Remove 1 gem which gives you 3 gems

Hey guys


I want to know if this has also happened with you guys. It's so strange - when I remove a gem from a weapon/armor, I sometimes get 3 gems instead of only 1. It has happened to me two times now, and I've been trying to figure out what triggers it with no luck.
Have some of you experienced the same? Luckily for me, I had to remove a star gem last time.

What really? I will try this....which type of armor did you removed it from? helm, pants, amulets, etc. Also how many sockets if it had multiple sockets. Thanks!

It was a socked ring, removed the gem in act III inferno. I'm sure there wasn't gems in my inv. So weird..

tried couple of times, even tho I didn't believe it in the first place, and couldn't get it to work (i tried with low quality gems).

What server are you in?

I heard some pretty cool glitches happen in the Asian servers. Something along the lines of one person rejoining a game and automatically receives gold. Theres also another glitch where you can duplicate an item through the blacksmith (although I tried it and it didn't work).

More details would help.
