Hey gang.. I can't seem to sell shit on the AH for the life of me.. gold OR USD.

Can we get a conversation started about..

What stuff sells?
How to judge prices?
Blah blah blah?

Seriously .. I am posting sick iLVL 63 stuff for 0.50 cents. .. wondering if I should just vendor everything all the time...?

It's probably since 1 mil = 1-1.5$ that makes the item around 400k & you could maybe get better stuff for that

What stuff I sell?
Gems, like hell..
I just post them 1 gold less than I should do and I get sold up to 50 gems in 10 minutes.
Also I buy all UID legendarys for low level since they seem to sell for a huge amount, I can get 200-300k for some UID I buy or 20k that aren't even good ^^)

yeah Gems I can sell, but even then .. not it's not a great income.

I am even selling nice iLVL 63 yellows for 10k and they never sell.. I'm talking like.. Str 10+, Vit 100+ Magic find/Goldfind 18% plus, 40 resist all, and armor 400+ kinda things.. wont even sell for 10k.

Having the same issue here .. okay gear on AH starting from 2 mill to 10k .. nothings sells! .. i dont get it >.<

It's strange especially with the RMAH. I'll list like nice things and they don't sell and then sometimes I'll list crap(ish) items (rings that are "good" but not "great", etc) and make $5-10 per item, while my nicer stuff just sits there. I try boots, belts, ammys, and rings mostly, but I've tried my hand at selling it all and I must be too stupid to find the right pattern of what people will buy and when.

What really blows is in the regular AH. I do research, check similar items and lower my price by a small - moderate margin and it doesn't sell. I lower the price more, still won't sell even though everyone else is selling them at an equal or higher price. Commodities seem to be the only thing that I can say sells consistently. And as gezus said, that's not much income.

To those of you who are having more luck than us, give us a little hint in the right direction

I find that weapons can have a nice turnover rate since everyone needs a nice dps weapon right ?

The problem with rare armors is that people are looking for very specific stats: crit hit, crit dmg, socket, etc. If your item strays too far off the main stats, it will take a long time to sell at a decent price

Best advice so far..

Most ppl interested in progressing past act2/3 inferno are looking for very specific stats. They are realizing just stacking resistances and general stats aka Vit/str/dex/int ect.. isn't going to cut it. For example, Crit chance (not dmg) plays a huge roll in act3/4 builds. In some builds more crits = more attacks = more procs = more LoH = high survivability in act3+.

In order to progess/survive players are forced to select their gear/builds wisely. You also have to consider how act2-4 inferno got the nerf bat, making it accessible to a much bigger # of players, that alone would send prices down. They also increased the drop rates by an assload... Both of which are injecting loads of supply into the market.

Just those 2 factors and the idea that players should be getting smarter and more selective = Tons of over priced, middle of the road, surplus in the AH = sad sellers..
