+1, just stick with higher rep people (might be more difficult for you being low rep/post/join date), and before you buy, do a search in the scammer thread in the section to be safe.

unfortunately scams work both ways, some people here use mediators or "middlemen" to do the deal to make it safer. either way, both parties are taking a risk and it gets back to the community either way very quickly.
