Anyone banned Buying Gold?

I was wondering if someone has been banned Buying gold from the suggested site here in this section. There's some limit eg, if i buy 100 mil is possible that some GM see this and been suspicious ans if i buy only 1/10 milion nobody will be harmed because of the low quanity (maybe a friend give me gold)?

Well Athene did afaik :P but he bought gold and paid by donating money to an organization.

He also got unbanned again.

I used to be worried about buying gold, until I went to Blizzard's official forums (Item, Trade) and saw multiple threads of people selling gold, weeks old. If those guys haven't been banned, I doubt you will. Who knows if Blizzard even tracks trades. I wish I could find it, but I remember a game master saying that Diablo III works differently than WoW, and they don't have much, if any, control over what happens in-game.

Dafuq Athene didn't get banned for that.. stop throwing things in the room you don't know shit of.. he got banned because of an auction house "bug" many people had.. he contacted support live and he got unbanned right after..

B2T: I do think blizzard has an automated system regarding gold transfer for high amounts of gold.. if gold is transfered to another account without any real reason then this automated system bans you.. there was something similar in WoW..

Don't see why anyone would get banned buying/selling gold if tons of people already do it on blizzard's official forums. On top of that buy/sell gold will be available in the in game auction house as a commodity soon anyway.

Technically in the ToS or EULA (can't remember which one) it is against the rules to sell/buy gold/items outside of blizzards sanctioned RMAH system. That being said, they COULD ban you if they wanted to and be fully substantiated in doing so, but as others have stated with "blackmarket" activities being almost encouraged in D3, I doubt they would take action against you if you used a 3rd party website instead of waiting for the RMAH, but I could be wrong.

I've purchased a lot of gold and I have never been banned. Haven't heard of anyone else being banned either.

I think the chances of being banned, because of buying gold, is very very low. Since nobody has "reported" they go banned by buying gold?

If there was an automated system, the amount that gets flagged may be set really high because there have been some people who have bought over twenty million in single trades or sold over on hundred million per few trades.
