I finally realized that the chances of someone mis-pricing a great item in the AH is FAR FAR greater than that item dropping off a monster - even farming extremely efficiently as a DH in act3/4. Most or some of you already know this, but for anyone out there still delusional like I was, here's my totally obvious but elite tip: if you want to actually gear up, you camp the auction house, with specific filters, and hope the right 1d12hr rare comes up. Sorry to crush anyone's dreams of thinking it could be achieved through regular gameplay.

Or you can do BOTH rather than being a whiner. There is more than ONE way to play an MMO/ARPG. Not everything is about wealth creation in both games and in the real life.

Yea, I've yet to find an actual good item(500k+ worth). I camp AH and bot instead now to earn some money..

It's easy to find a 500k+ worth item now since all the prices are inflated!

seriously, I've probably only found 4 upgrades for my characters through farming since launch. I've learned to play diablo 3 the way it was intended - sell on the AH and gear from the AH.

i found a 160int 160vit 3%crit 1d12hr bracer for 1m on AH and then sold for $72 on RMAH

i found a 2+ Mil 1hander sword with +Strength +socket and +600 LoH and around 660 DPS.

So no, you are wrong. the AH is not the only way to play.

found a 1400 2h with 150+ str 100+ vit socket +45% dmg for 300k but alas i was too slow to purchase fml
