    [Help] Math

    I'm horrible at math.

There's a black smith pattern that creates gloves with 6 properties.

What I'm trying to do is find out the chance of: Strength, Vitality, and all resistance rolling.

From what I've seen in-game the following stats can be applied to gloves:

    - Health globe increased healing
    - Vitality
    - Dexterity
    - Strength
    - Intellect
    - Critical hit chance
    - Critical hit damage increased
    - Increased Attack Speed
    - All Resistance
    - Poision Resistance
    - Arcane Resistance
    - Physical Resistance
    - Cold Resistance
    - Fire Resistance
    - Lightning Resistance
    - Melee Attackers take X Damage on Hit
    - Gold and Health Pick up by X Yards
    - Life per Second

Total stats that can roll on gloves: 18
    Gloves can roll 6 properties
    6/18 = .33

Does this mean that if the desired stats are: Vitality, Strength, All resistance, x, y, and z.there is a .99% chance that those stats will roll? (.33*3)

    Bonus:

How can I find out the chances of getting say 100 strength, 100 vitality, and 70 resistance to all on top of this?

    Thanks for all your help.

We don't know if there's an equal roll on all properties.

Let's take it piece by piece. and say there is an equal chance to roll each affix.

    1/18 for strength
    1/18 for vit
    1/18 for all resis

6 properties total, 18 total affixes

so, 1 in 3 to get either strength, vit, or all resistance

to get them all, let's multiple them
    1 X 1 X 1 = 1
    3 X 3 X 3 = 27

So, to get all 3, you have a 1 in 27 chance.

Now, idk exact top-end numbers on gloves, but let's just say 200 str, 200 vit, and 70 resistance

To get 100 strength, you have 1/2 of a shot to roll 1-99, and 1/2 of a shot to roll 100-200 (roughly)
    Same thing with Vit
Now to get 70 resistance, assuming 70 is perfect (idk if it is or not /shrug), you have a 1 in 70 shot (assuming all of these have the same exact chance to get a higher number)

So, it would be a 1 in 280 shot to get 100+ str, 100+ vit, and 70 resistance.

Now, I believe your chance to get gloves that have str/vit/resistance, and have the desired stats would be 1 in 7,560.

Now, that is whatmy brother told me, so idk if it is spot on. So...good luck lol

I'm normaly good in english and good in math but I can't explain math in english - so if someone can translate or if the thread starter is german... here you go

The Stat weight is not possible to calculate because we don't know the numbers how blizzard is evaluating them.
    Cheers

    its just (15 choose 3)/(18 choose 6) = 2,45%
