Greater Rifts - Unlimited time

Hi,

I stumbled upon something interesting while soloing a Grift.

Short story:
I had an all to high Keystone (rank 26) left from another game and thought I might as well just let the timer run out and kill the rift guardian when he spawns, I did this because it was too tough for me. So I had 0% progress complete when the timer hit 15mins, now what happens next is that the timer runs out and it says "times up". But the Rift Guardian did not spawn as it used too when the time runs out. So now I HAVE to fight my way to 100% progress to get the guardian to spawn.

I have no idea if this is an useable exploit or not, but i thought I wanted to share.

EDIT: Could someone confirm/disprove this? It could also just've been some bug.

intended? pretty sure the rift guardian is meant to spawn when the time is over

The greater rift guardian always spawns when you complete the progress bar, and you are allowed to upgrade the gem.

The only thing you don't get from failing the timer is not being able to upgrade your keystone.

Greater Rifts Guardians will no longer instantly spawn after 15 minutes. In order to spawn a Greater Rift Guardian, players must fill the progress bar completely. (8/29)

It wasn't a stealth nerf, but rather a fix.
