Get the rare quality from UNID'd item before ID'd

It is always correct.

A 4 affix item can look like it is +5 or +6 or whatever, since you can roll, for example, +Int and +Vit with a single stat roll.

Here are some examples of double stats: Affixes - Diablo Wiki (That list is nowhere near complete. It's just an example.)

I see - how does it work with sockets? An item that was suppose to be 5 affix had 5 affixes but 2 sockets (include 'has socket' as an affix, but the '2 sockets' dont count as 2 affix)?

Ahh...I see...gonna go back and look at some stuff. Now only to decode the numbers..

So far, the stats of uniden items include some similar number like: 1176553157,1176553157,1055553278,1176553157 and 1055553278,1055553278,1176553157,1176553157. The 1055553278 is the same but when the 2 items is identified. There is 0 zero opt similar to each other (I mean completely different opt, not only the number of stats). So I think it gonna very hard or impossible to decode the option code of unidentified item.

Perhaps sockets dont count toward affix...if that were true how does the aegis craft above = a 6 affix item ?

You need to hit the delete key again.

Edit: 1 to 3 sockets is all counted as 1 affix.

Well, if you got the ? to show up, you're doing it right. Hitting delete one more time should break the HURL apart at that point. Try it again from scratch?

I'm not sure then. Maybe it has something to do with your keyboard language settings. I personally use United States-International.

You can try a different 2-byte character instead? (Although I don't think that would make a difference.)

It was confirmed in a Blizzard post that any amount of sockets is counted as a single affix.

PS: I've crafted a 6 property item with 6 properties + 3 sockets.
It had Str/Int/Vit/Resistance/Armor/Gold Pickup + 3 sockets
