Avoid Reflect Damage with Venom Hydra menu

    Avoid Reflect Damage with Venom Hydra

    This is a bit awkward but maybe some Wizards with huge dps but low health will appreciate this.

    Maybe the game only counts the damage from the active Hydra. Not sure how to explain this properly so here's how you do it:


    • Cast Hydra
    • Let it shoot once
    • Recast it further away from the enemy where it's out of range.


    What that does is basically let the enemy take damage from the first Hydra's spewed pool while you take no damage from the reflect effect.

    I am starting to have a feeling that the people here are not finding this and posting it, but they are looking for threads to repost in hopes to get reputation...

    Grats on finding it yourself. (I assume, anyway.) But...



    Normally I don't really care about this stuff, however since I was quoted I feel I have to post!

    More importantly, though:

    Recast it further away from the enemy where it's out of range.
    The range part has nothing to do with it, you can just recast it in range of the mobs and it will work all the same. The damage puddles, and their damage reflecting are tied to your original hydra. So when the old hydra dies you no longer take reflect damage from it but the DoTs persist.

    That said, you're also better off letting it shoot more than once, or you lose out on a lot of DPS time.
