AH Exploit/Bug or Intended?

Found this weird thing with buying Subtle Essence.

I bought 40 for 53 each and total amount of 2120, then I instantly resumed my game ( forgotto move to the stash ), so I left the game to get the essence to my stash. I got the 40 essence but also a refund of 1500~ gold. So I end up paying only 600~ gold for 40 essence.

Hope its something..

It's not something. Someone was selling essence for cheaper than you payed. It bought the cheapest essence it could find and refunded you the difference. Happens all the time. Sorry.
