I'm pretty sure with enough pickup radius, you can make a simple script to walk up and down every now and then, you probably would loot most of the gold this way.

1. Use Wizard
2. Skills: Blur, Galvaniting Ward, Glass Cannon, Storm Armor (Strike Back 91%)
3. Use a weapon with 2000 life after kill

Easily tankable AFKing on Hell. I never drop below 95% and my shield hits for 8-9k nearly 1hitting the mobs.

I'm unsure of how the repair mechanic works in this game.

Wouldn't this call for a very heavy repair bill?

I don't think so, my estimate earning 90k/hour has included the repair cost

What suprises me is that these mobs actually give exp/gold considering that they are infinite. First time I saw these pillars i thought of this "exploit"/guide. Hmm

I didn't bother with a script. I just equipped 2k thorns, and 200% GF, and tabbed out to do some homework for an online course while between 2 of these towers. I tabbed back over every 10-12 minutes to circle around, and pick up the gold. I didn't even bother picking up loot, and I ended up with 106k gold after repairing for right about an hours worth of work (give or take 10 minutes). Did it on hell btw on a WD so not to hard for any class I imagine. Pretty decent for basically being free gold I didn't have to do much for.

What about doing this in A1 where the 4 pillars summon all the skeletons? Make a script to just walk the perimeter with GF + Radius gear. More mobs spawned, no worries about exploring to find a certain setup, mobs die quicker, etc? Wonder if that would be a good idea...

It JUST occured to me, if you're a barb you can hold down your revenge key for heals and damage, no need for scripts to keep your char in a game or thorns or healing/sec. You just need to come back for loot

As a wizard you can use Teleport reversal to pick up the gold instead of running around.

The Skeleton King pillars spawns do not drop anything.
