I´ve donated to this site so it could get better and continously improve. Being a donator does not give me the right to choose who get´s banned and who doesn´t. However this guy either charged back from his actual paypal acount or he hacked one and used it to make a payment, and the actual owner charged back. In all cases to me this kind of behavior should get the guy´s MAC Address banned, if u can´t do that, ban at least the profile.

The total value was 20$ for 19M diablo 3 gold, it´s not much but for me that is just begining to make deals and all it´s a pain in the ass.

I don´t think i´m being unreasoanable, below i show u all the conversation i had with this guy in skype, and in reality the fault is mine for trading with some1 with such a low rep. but i was once a low rep too. Anyways plz ban this person.

Well I just took the time to post this thread because, doing a simples list of scammers is just dumb. They should get banned through MAC address so they can´t use the site anymore.
Another thing i think that should happen, ppl that´s not logged in the forum should not be able to read the forums. Lot´s of scammers get skype, msn and other info through ownedcore so they can scam ppl.

voting doesn't matter- its evidence, otherwise 60% of the site would be voted off the island because someone said +rep in a post and didn't give it.
second issue is common sense and reading the things people have worked on for you, the user, to read and cover your own ass.


the website has been guest viewable since it's creation, you joined in june 2012. if you couldn't see jack shi the odds of you registering and staying are nil. don't put your personal info in the thread then if you dont want bs.. have the users wanting to do business contact you via PM for it. it also gives more evidence as copy paste like above is not accepted- screenshots. you're lacking 4 points out of 6 to report a scammer.

--- i took the time to condense the reports into an easily searchable way with supporting information. i take the time to continually update it every 3-7 days often daily, others have taken the time to create and maintain/answer help threads and guides to prevent being scammed..... you could take the time to read the stickied thread and you would know what you should have done. :3

Ok, good point... anyways, most web servers can make MAC address deflection as an example Apache, and u can also know the users MAC Address, and if the scamer is using a vpn or proxy he will have to change it all the time he wants to come in and scam some1, if the MAC Address gets banned(if u want a more technical argumentation, we can discuss it, i´m doing master thesis in Computer Science so i believe i know one thing or another about computers). Anyways u said stuff about presenting proof. first proof was my skype chat with the guy. wanna see some paypal SS´s, here they are.

Anyways the guy uses several different names Jose1 here on OC, ws567074 on skype, and Kristin Rathbun on paypal, it´s clear he came into OC with the scaming intention, but the main problem is not geting the gold and not paying, the main problem is hacking a paypal account and make the payment. Wich is already considered a crime in some countries. Now just so things get more clear, and u as moderator can ban the guy, what else do u need?

When u say i didn´t read the topic about known scammers, are u implying i will find information abou this exact guy on that topic, because i did a superficial search over the names i know he uses and i found none on the topic.

@goldbr: Moderator told you about that sticky thread where there are posts about tactics used by most scammers and how to protect yourself against them. Since scammers always change their names after they get caught, their tactics remain the same, so it worth a better shot of that thread, not just superficially. I have to agree with Remus on this one, alltho i totally understand the frustration when someone "steals" your money. The best tip for it is to calm down after a scam and sort your feelings and make a tidy post containing all the information that the guidelines requires. And awareness comes with experience in life nexttime read around the forums a little and if you are the least suspicious against someone, back out of the deal.

- as it makes it easier on my side as well as for you to fully verify the user instead of say... the reports of lee liu scamming people, when he/she has even yet to do so and most people find out " oh snap their profile id on skype was : Lee.Lui6 instead of the good one: Lee.Liu6 (i and u are transposed.)

In a lot of the cases no, they are not repeat offenders but it helps clear up things when i go reading through the skype logs of who is who, and what paypal goes where etc.
