Wow Image Converter Script Messes Up BLPs

Greetings,

WoW kept crashing when edited BLP graphics were supposed to be shown.

I narrowed the problem down to WoW Image Converter by doing nothing more to the BLP file than converting to PNG and back again.

A 4k BLP file becomes an 8k BMP file.

Any idea what is going wrong? WHat is it changing, adding?

This is a cross platform java script.

Any other BLP encoders for Mac?
