Problem with Model Edits.

I am currently having some rather annoying problems with adding my own model reskins to the game. I might be doing something horribly wrong, I have followed a few guides about how to create models and believe I have followed them correctly.

I have placed the files in the Data folder.
I have tried naming the files:
patch-c
patch-A
patch.c
patch.c-MPQ
patch-c.MPQ
patch-2
patch-2.MPQ
patch-z

I have, of course, added BLP files to MPQ archives.
I have opened WoW with WoWME and pressed F8 before I log in.
Nothing works.
Can anyone possibly tell me where I am going wrong?

Intelligent as you are, you disabled showing the file extension in the explorer. Your files are actually called:
patch-c.mpq
patch-A.mpq
patch.c.mpq
patch.c-MPQ.mpq
patch-c.MPQ.mpq
patch-2.mpq
patch-2.MPQ.mpq
patch-z.mpq
what is a total compilation of bullshit.

Disable hiding the "file extension for known file types" in explorer's options and actually rename the extension to MPQ. "patch-c.MPQ" is the right one.

I have got the problem that i only can have one .mpq file which swaps the model of my mount. when i put one which turns my gryphon into a rocket mount and one which changes my nightelf mount into spectral tiger mount only one of these twos works.
can you pls help me or make me an mpq which changes:

Swift Green Gryphon - Item - World of Warcraft Ashes of Al'ar - Item - World of Warcraft

and

Reins of the Swift Mistsaber - Item - World of Warcraft to Reins of the Swift Spectral Tiger - Item - World of Warcraft

Ah, thank you very much, Schlumpf.
I was not aware that I had that enabled. I have now changed this.
However, The changes work, sort of.
Problem now is any modification I make becomes just a black mass of absolutely nothing, is there any solution to this?

You have tu turn off the following in the menu:

Grafix > Effects > Lightreflections

And then reload the Game.
