Atleast on my realm i can buy Tremendous Tankard O' Terror - Item - World of Warcraft (the legion version is ilvl 810) for like 50g.
Disenchant it and youll get a chaos crystal almost every time (sells for 1000+ on my server).

They are ~1k on my realm. And Chaos Crystals are only 660

Well, it looks like its completely realm dependent. Im on a rather small realm so i always buy all and put one for 50 in it. People will try to sell it lower ofc and mine for 50 wont go away because the hammer is rather useless if u have an artifact.

wish this worked.. no way people selling for 50g.. on my server they must of caught on.. cause they range from 1299 to 3000g

Checked several realms I am active on and this was not feasible on any of them save for one single instance of a low priced tankard. I am active on several very high/full population realms, as well as some backwater low/empty ones.

Cheapest Tremendous Tankard O'Terror I could find was 400g (only one at that price which had undercut the rest by more than 1,200g) with most well over 2,500g
Average span for Chaos Crystals across all the realms I checked was 697g - 748g on the low end.

So yeah... definitely not worth bothering with on my realms. Good luck to those it works for.
