Best spot to level your artifact fishing pole

There is a daily fishing World Quest, present today in EU named Into the Whirlpool. It requires you to go through a portal at 30.6 62.0 in Val'sharah, you get ported to a CLOSED underwater cave, in which you have to get a couple special fish.

The trick is:

1. There is 10+ pools up all the time in this smallish cave. After you use one up, another spawns.
2. Those pools also give bait & rare fish.
3. Pools don't stop spawning after you complete the WQ.
4. The only minor hinderance is a wave of murlocs spawning every couple of minutes, but they're very fragile.

And the best part:

5. Portal to the cave is still present even after you've completed the quest. I have no idea if it's present all the time, or if after the reset it'll disappear.

So get your legendary fishing rod ready and level it up while the WQ is up

I prefer fishing ghostfish outside the academy in Azsuna, as there you get 1 guaranteed rare fish per cast and you can keep a permanent supply of baits just by fishing there
this requires waterwalking, but once you unlock that on the fishing rod there is no mobs or anything affecting you.

Queenfish is by far the best.

The pool give you a rare every time, and the buff last 5 minutes instead of 2 minutes.

stormheim fishing oodelfijsk is best imo. bait buff from vrykul ring lasts 10 minutes, and once u have the other two baits u never stop fishing as u are almost guaranteed to fish the same bait within tthe 10 minutes

I agree Queenfish is crazy fast compared to anything else.

Your rod gives +% duration on baits each level. Queenfish bait is already at 11min at level 13

Dont know what I'm doing wrong, but artifact level is 13 and it lasts 6 or 7 minutes, but definitely not 10 ...

Due to the vast amount of pools in Suramar, I recommend fishing anywhere in that zone, and going specifically for the Murloc that you toss on the ground and throws fish around. You can get about a dozen fish that give +50 AP PER MURLOC.

Pools now disappear after you complete the WQ, so I guess it's back to Suramar/Stormheim, sigh...
