basic I wrote this guide mostly to help my my recruit a friend towards surviving when I'm offline and not being completely dependent.
I'm going to be going over the techniques I use when I starting a new account or starting on a new server.

On a MOP enabled account with 0 characters, 0g

first step you make a monk level normally through the game looting everything along the way. Why monk first? Experience boosts, and roll which is learned at lvl 5.

learn herbalism and Mining at level and follow these routes until level 20

follow the routes available for Tirisfal Glades (Horde) or Elwynn Forest (Alliance)

while on the route kill off any rare spawns you see to get free bags..

at level 20 unlearn Herbalism and pick up Jewelcrafting.
Use the copper you've gathered to make braided copper rings and hold onto them.
Go to Hillsbrad Foothills and follow the Tin Ore Guide

Prospect the tin ore til you get moss agate sell the moss agate at around between 200-700g for a stack of 20.

Make your second character, get into a level 25 guild and quest normally and learn Talioring/Enchanting mail the rings over from your Jewelcrafter and disenchant them.

when you become friendly with your guild get the guild tabard,
when you become Honored with the guild buy the desired BOAs with Gold you've made from the Moss Agate, farm the tin ore as needed,
the BOAs you'll want will be ones your Monk and alts will be able to use

Either, Cloth boas which are good for
Mist weaver Monks, mages, warlocks, resto/ balance druids, Priests, elemental / Resto Shamans.

Or Leather Boas Which are good for.
Brewmaster Monks, wind walker monks, Hunters, Rogues And Enhancement shamans.


(Horde Only)
Make a Third Character, get it to level 5 and learn Alchemy/(whatever like) then level normally
once you've gotten to 90 points in alchemy learn the Elixir of Giant Growth which should be available for purchase on the Auction house for a very low price.
Choose a character to fish on any will do.
Go To the Northern Barrens and the lakes/ponds see fishing school in fish in them for each Deviate Fish you catch is about worth 22g or more if you use them to create the elixirs of Giant Growth.

thank Eryxon I used the same basic things when my girlfriend transferred we fished deviate fish for an hour and ended up with 180 elixirs which she controls the market with now!
