Break into the auction house with Inscription!

Ok so I'm going to be sharing with you my spreadsheet for calculating cost/revenue/profit when it comes to making the epic shoulder enchants.
This is where I started making my gold and it's a great place to start working your way into the auction house. It's a small group of items which you can watch without hassle.

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...=sharing#gid=0

Download and save (I have disabled editing on the google hosted spreadsheet so everyone can get their own copy).
Items in blue are for you to change!

This will tell you if it's profitable to be working inscription and other than your time spent milling/crafting it's quite quick and easy gold.

Let me know how you found it and I might upload my other spreadsheets!

Do you play in the glyph market too? I have never been able to break in to that on my server.

Glyphs for me was a waste of time. I didn't want to bag swap macro. Gems are more profitable on my server. Don't stretch yourself out too far otherwise you'll be blowing so much gold in relisting. (Granted if you stomp your competition out it wont be an issue, but if your'e just casually posting - it might not be worth it)

With the TSM addon it's no work at all, just time consuming. My main market was gems so I would need to /logoff and swap to another toon or bag swap to accomplish holding everything that I needed to post :P

I've nailed a few Inscription enchant sales tonight on my first try due to this, so thanks.

Also, it is good to scan for Ink of Dreams since you can convert directly to Starlight. I set an alert on wowuction to tell me if the inks are being dumped at a low price, and I often can buy an Ink of Dreams for 3g or less, so 30g to craft a shoulder right?

    No probs.
You need starlight inks for the shoulder enchants remember
You can trade them in so yes, if you get them at a cheap enough price it may be beneficial. (server dependant)

I had a few beers in me when I posted that and my math was bad

I buy ink of dreams when they are 3G or less and trade 30 of them in for max 90g for the shoulder. I have been selling the shoulders for 200-230g.

Assuming there are people on your server, breaking into Glyphs is very easy. You don't even need a scribe. Most people that buy Glyphs have no clue (or don't care) what they usually cost... so I just do a rolling reset on the the cheap ones.

    1) Look at noxxic and see what their current recommendations are for Glyphs. If you're nervous, just pick 1 popular class... DKs for exmaple.
    2) Buy all the Glyphs on the AH that are listed for under your target price (50g is good price point).
    3) List 3ish of the ones you bought for 50 silver for 49g.

I've never found enough volume in glyphs to make lots of gold. But it is a good way to find your feet on a server you are new to.
