I am posting this now so that people who haven't started this chain yet, or started their rep grind for Brood can get it done before Lunar Festival begins. Gl HF Additionally the quest can be repeated as many times as you abandon it and pick it up again from Keeper Remulos (Which is of course unlimited) So theoretically, with no GM intervention, you could have eranikus up 24/7 ;p
So there you are, a level 48 enjoying the world event Lunar Festival in Moonglade, dancing, shooting fireworks, having a jolly right time. When all of a sudden OMG DRAGON AND ADDS EVERYWHERE! You glance around and see afk 80s getting killed by aoe shadowbolts, lowbies getting instantly killed by Eranikus. You try and run, but it's too late. Eranikus, Tyrant of the Dream has returned.
As most of you know, Lunar Festival is quickly approaching. This is the single best time of the year for mass player griefing, thanks to the quest
[The Nightmare Manifests]
This quest summons Eranikus in Moonglade, and rest assured Eranikus will triumph, over, and over, and over again.
If you are unfamiliar, this quest is part of the Scepter of the Shifting Sands chain, a vanilla chain that opened up AQ. You do not need to complete the entire chain to have access to this quest, but if you haven't started it there is some work to be done.
To begin your journey to the ultimate grief, you must first begin by being atleast Neutral with the faction Brood of Nozdormu. This can be easily attained by pugging AQ40. (For a quick easy method of getting a group for AQ40 check out my other thread, here)
**If you are Neutral with Brood you don't need to complete these two quests, but if you need rep after AQ40, you'll have to so you can farm carapaces**
Next do the quest [Only One May Rise] This quest requires half a clear of bwl, and will be easily pugged. Note: More than One may rise, the head is now a quest item that everyone with the quest can loot.
Following this is the most tedious part of the whole chain. Farming 200 silithid carapaces for [The Path of the Righteous] This shouldn't take long for any level 80, and trust me, it's worth it.
Now the quest[Anachronos]
Go to Caverns of Time and chat with Anachronos. He will put you on a short chain, that ends up with you needing to go and talk to three dragons. Vaelstrasz in BWL, Azuregos in Azshara, and Eranikus in Sunken Temple.
Once you've finished these quests, you're almost ready for Lunar Festival Anachronos will give you three different quests for the three scepter shards. The only one you should concern yourself with for now is Green. Starting with [Eranikus, Tyrant of the Dream]
Very easy quest chain, the hardest part is the Twilight Corrupter in Duskwood. Plan on bringing friends for that.
Once you get the quest [The Nightmare Manifests] You will be good to go for Lunar Festival!
