Hi guys, I have tested this and its working all 3 ways.
Which method you use will depend on how you scammed the account.
If you used a phisher, then follow this:
So you have a frozen account, and you want to know what characters are on it before you put gametime on it?
What you do, is fire up WoW and login. You will see the message pop-up "Please renew your game time to continue playing bla bla" and then you can close WoW.
Now, go into your WoW folder (mine is @ c:/Program Files/World of Warcraft) and find your WTF folder. Go into the WTF, then go into Accounts, and find the folder with the account name (will be in caps) you just entered in WoW, and you will be presented with a bunch of folders, with realm names on them.
Just browse through those folders, and inside them will be your character's names. From there just armory the characters, and decide whether or not you will put gametime on it.
Now an easier way.
This requiers you to have another WoW account, pretty simple really.
Log into a WoW account, not the one you want to see what characters are on it on the world of warcraft site.
Select scroll of resurrection, and cast it on the account you want to see the chars.
You will now have 10 days(not /played time) in which you can use to see what characters are on it( i hope it doesnt take you 10 days to do that though).
The third and final way, requires you to know which realm the characters are on, chances are if you know that you will know what the characters are anyway, but even so.
Log into the WoW account management site.
Click paid character transfer.
Select the realm the characters are on, and it will give you character names / classes / levels.
Then just look them up in the armory if you want to know what gear they have.
Cheers guys,
D
