The Leechers Guide On How To Give Rep

Before we start I would like to say that of people join this community everyday and many go through the forums seeing people +rep thinking that when you say +rep their reputation goes up. This is WRONG. In this guide I will show you how to give rep. Let's get started.

In order to give rep you need 2 things. Rep power and at least 5 posts. You can find out if you have rep power by looking on the top right corner of your post/thread. If you have trouble finding it look at the picture below.

In the picture above the Site n00b, valiliv, has 1 rep power. If you have no rep power you cannot say +rep and magically give people rep. You must have at least 1 Rep Power to give rep.

Now, to actually give rep you need to locate the +Rep button on the bottom of the post. The +Rep is on the Lower bottom of the original poster's thread. If you can't find it look at the picture below.

Now that you know where the +Rep is try hitting the button on the bottom of my thread. If you hit the +Rep you will notice that a text box has come up. That looks like this:


Congratulations, you now know how to give rep. And remember saying +rep doesn't give people rep power you have to hit the +Rep at the bottom of the post.

Thanks for the info, already figured that part out, but you also need to note that you need at least 5 postings before you have the ability to give +rep, at least that's what it tells me

you cant look at rep power

Actually to be honest, for weeks I have been trying to get my rep button to work, so I checked this out.. and guess what I realized?
It's not that I'm just a n0o 4t l1f3 and don't know how to rep... it's that my rep button IS GONE!! LOL!
I mean, I do not HAVE a rep button on my screen so lately to rep people, I have been having to ASK them to give me a link to their repping page which I assume the way they get it is by right-clicking the rep button for their name and then selecting properties and giving me the info.
But if any one can help I would definitely rep you for it! :P
But really, this isn't working for me on Internet Explorer or Firefox. Please help me!
