Gold for WoW Accounts Scam.

Hi all,

Here is a simple idea i have just come up with.
You will need to have 2 accounts and know all the details required to take back at least one of those accounts.
If you don't own 2 accounts, then ask a friend to help you out.
So here it goes:

Make a trial account on a realm where your main (or alt) account is located.
Go on that trial account and spam "WTS a spare WoW account for gold".
If a player asks "how much?", then just ask them how much they have to offer.
Once you both have come to an agreement, then both go to MSN/AIM/Xfire.
Tell the victim to send the gold to a character which is on one of your real (not trial) accounts.
Begin the exchange in this order:

1) You send the User Name and Password of an account which you own and can take back if the password has been changed.
2) The player sends you the Gold ingame.

If the victim asks for an email change and the SQ, then just tell them that this account is not originally yours, but that you have been in possession of it for at least 6 months.
Once the victim says that he/she has sent the gold, then simply take back the account and do it all over again until your thirst for gold has been quenched.
Just know that gold now takes 1 hour to reach you.

I have not tested it yet simply because i don't have a time card to add on my account, so i would appreciate it if some of you could test this out for me.
I also suggest setting the price of the account between 300 and 600 gold to look more legit and to make sure that not too many people try to scam you (because I'm pretty sure that some will try).

i would make it 2k gold each time, or at least 1500. Nice idea though. Although i would get them to trade the gold directly to my other account or w/e. Mail sucks.

Ye, it has potential...but sending the gold through the email does take one hour, meaning that it will take you a whole hour before you find out if you got scammed or not... It's easy to say that you've sent the gold...

And I guess the amount of gold you want would differ with the account (character levels, game time...and so on)...

But could work for sure...

You could take back the account as soon as the victim has said that he/she has sent the gold.
You don't have to wait for the gold to arrive.
Even if the victim tries to scam you by not sending the gold, then all you have to do is try again on someone else and I'm pretty sure that someone will end up falling for it sooner or later.

Why not trade the gold instead, making sure you get the gold?

I'm not saying you MUST use the ingame mail system, you can transfer the gold in any way you like (it really doesn't matter).

Bu that happens that when they go onto ur account aht u gave them user and pass just vendor all ur greens and shit before u get the money, and wont ui get in trouble for saying that in trade chat? sounds like u could lose more than u could earn, good idea just needs to be fine tuned

They won't have time to sell all your stuff because you change the password and take the account away as soon as the gold has been sent.
Also, i never said anything about the Trade channel simply because trial accounts don't have access to any general channels.
And you use a trial account to advertise, so you won't get in trouble for it.
