[Karazhan] Fight Moroes With No Add's

I discovered this in patch 2.3.0 so I'm not completely sure if this still works, but the patch notes said nothing about this. I'd also like it a lot if someone could test this in patch 2.3.3.

    Things you will need:
    Eye of Arachnida
    - Thottbot World of Warcraft: Eye of Arachnida
    A karazhan raid

Step 1: Summon your eye of killrogg using
    Eye of Arachnida.

Step 2: Bring him to moroes and let him kill it.

Step 3: Enjoy fighting moroes with no adds.

Would it be possible for you to explain how this works a little bit more?

Do you simply summon an Eye of Kilrogg and walk it up to him and let him kill it? If so, how does this cause him to lose his four buddies?

Not trying to discredit you, just asking because if this works, it'd be a neat trick for people with the item or a warlock in thier group.

I think it only works if you use the item, The add's just don't aggro when you let him kill it , then you go in.

You need the exact item because once the warlock version is killed, the aggro goes to the lock.

Pretty sure not because if someone zones out whos has aggro, the mobs goes to the closest group member.

Hmm, well if it is going to target the nearest group member, what if you had everyone out of aggro range and tried the warlock's Eye of Killrogg? It could potentially work the same way as the Eye of Arachnida.

It would work like a normal boss encouter, the Eye of Kilrogg puts Moroes in combat who sends out a zone-wide combat inducing pulse. Moroes would then proceed to kill every person in combat until he was out of combat again. There is no aggro range on the boss pulse, it's zone-wide.

Incorrect as you can reset Moroes by running out the room.

Actually, several mistakes in this topic.

    1. Eye of Kilrogg doesn't put the warlock in combat. I know this from experience because my guild used to use a warlock to agro Vashj with his/her eye so that vashj de-spawns for 30 seconds or so, which allows us to rez the people that died in the middle.

    2. Agroing a boss does put everyone in combat, but so long as the boss doesn't "see" the raid members, it won't agro on them and won't kill them. Blizzard added that feature because pre-bc people had healers stay out of combat and rez people that died, which is rather ingenious if I say so myself lol.

I'm not sure if this works or not, but if it works for one, it will work for the other, both the item and spell trigger the same eye.

I have just tried the Eye of Kilrogg using a warlock and Moroes's adds doesn't despawn at all. Will try with Eye of Arachnida soon and see how it goes.
