Increase your TAB Targetting Range

Hello everyone. Not entirley sure if this is the right place to post this, but something I've found useful over the last few months...


What this does :: It incraeses your 'TAB' tagetting to anything on your screen, rather than just a few yards.
Why would you use this? :: VERY useful in PVP and Grinding. Just spam TAB in the direction you think the flag/horde is, and it'll target him if he's there.
Can you be suspended/banned from blizz? :: 100% NOT! it was infact posted by a Blue on the UI forums about 4months ago. Since then, I've not been able to play without it.

How do i do it? :: REALLY simple.

1) Go to ''C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\WTF''
2) Locate and open ''Config.wtf'' (Wordpad works just fine)
3) On a new line type/paste the following...

SET TargetNearestDistance "800.000000"

4)Save and close
5)Start up wow
6)Try tab targetting

I'd assume it's allowed, cosidering the fact that if you read most of the things in that file, they're things you change in your Interface Menu.

You're TARGETING, you're not gaining instant kills, 300% run speed, godmode, or ANYTHING

I REEEEALLLYYY hope you didn't think before you posted that...

While they're at it, why not just get rid of the mouse, because you're gaining the same result of clicking the guy, as you are tabbing him, OH NOEZ, what shall we do!?

And how exactly is blizzard going to know, or how are they going to care, and how is this going to help you own anything?

Blizzard won't care, you're targeting something, it's not like that's helping you actually kill them, and you're not gaining an advantage over anyone.

It's like an addon, they won't actually help you do anything, but it's nice to have.

the only time i really use this, when a mouse CANT be used, is in WSG when im defending the flag, or indeed going after a flag carrier. Because it targets them when you can see them its useful to have.

Ya dude this is pretty cool I use it allot cause only use the mouse to click my action bars and its easier just to tab rather than have to stop doing what your doing to select a new target + Rep this is awesome
