Easy experience during invasion worldquest "Defense of Emerald Bay"
If you are leveling up with invasions, and the worldquest "Defense of Emerald Bay" is up, you get to use Fel Mortars to kill the mobs. This lets you 2-shot every mob in the WQ area, and they give me 1.1k exp rested and at 105.
The mobs that fight the NPCs give half exp, so focus on the others.
The Fel Mortars should become unusable when you finish the WQ, but for some reason they stay up and you can continue killing mobs with them.
Not amazing, but I used it to finish up a level when I was 85% to 106 after the invasion.
WQ is at 52.0 44.1.

I managed to get 90% of a level at 106-107 in 35 mins. You get 1.1k from the big ones if you solo them before someone else tags them. I'd suggest staying at the bottom of the valley (top position at the map) where a big guy and 5 fel guys stack along with it every half min, but only if you're lazy like me. The mobs at that position doesn't give as much xp as the rest of the mobs, but they're easy to hit and spawn fast. In 1 life time of the fel mortar you can kill these guys twice. Also it doesn't deplete your rested xp!

Good point about rested xp, missed that completely.

For patch 7.2.5: Adding upgraded heirlooms to the mix will make this much, much more useful! If they don't fix it anyway. Might see ~20 min levels again.

7.2.5 update: Seems to be fixed. Motar despawns after a number of shots. Took ~5 motars for me to even clear the quest, much less stay around and farm with it

If the despawn is correlated with quest progress you can work around it by joing a raid group and suspending that progress (see levelling guide in other thread).
EDIT: I remember now. That's not a fix, it has always worked that way. As Death said it isn't spectacular, it is just some nice free kills when grinding xp.
