Mage 100% Multistrike (Not my find)

Frost Spec
Icy Veins glyph active in the lower-left corner
Thermal Void

2. Method
Paste this macro

/castglyph Icy Veins major 2
/cast Icy Veins

Use the macro and cast Icy Lance to refresh your Icy Veins(from 45% multi buff to 30% haste buff)
Now you find additional multi in stats without any buff!!!
Repeat what you have done above and your multi will boooooom!!!(100% is enough)
100% multi is kept through all three specs even after death, until you log out

Similar exploit like this was posted before.

1. choose Glyph of Icy Veins and Thermal Void(100Lv talent)
2. use Icy Veins before entering a combat
3. remove Glyph of Icy Veins
4. use Ice Lance to enter a combat
=> now your multistrike chance is increased by 30% permanently
=> u can repeatedly perform these actions for 100% or more multistrike chance (of course more than 100% chance has no effect)

wondering if the macro changes smth and how ppl give thanks no matter if someone confirmed it works or no considering the original exploit was contributed and fixed in december 2014

I googled /castglyph to see what that even does, and it's apparently broken in some ways. Plus, what you posted doesn't work. "/castglyph Icy Veins 4" puts it in the bottom left slot, where what was posted will put the glyph in the top center slot. Glyphs are as follows;
Top Right Minor: 1
Top Middle Major: 2
Top Left Minor: 3
Bottom Left Major: 4
Bottom Middle Minor: 5
Bottom Right Major: 6

Once I figured that out and adjusted the macro to work, I started the exploit.
1. Multistrike: 24.33%. Haste: 12.60%. (I'm not amazingly geared, cut me a break!)
1. I cast the macro;
- /castglyph Icy Veins 4
- /cast Icy Veins
2. Multistrike: 24.33% (unchanged). Haste: 46.38% (Massive change). Buff says it increases Multistrike by 45%.
3. I cast Ice Lance
4. Multistrike: 24.33%. Haste: 12.60% (dropped back down?)
5. Wait out duration of Icy Veins/click it off
6. Multistrike: -20.67%. Haste: 12.60% (unchanged)

That's right; Negative 20.67%. I was unable to proc a second attack off of any spell.

This exploit does not work, unless a step was skipped or not posted. It sounded so nice, too.

This is a perfect example of how to investigate something like this, well done.

This may not be entirely fruitless btw - there are some exploits where you actually want negative numbers for trinket procs and various other things.

It didn't work because you did the opposite of what you're supposed to be doing.

Doing it in the opposite direction REMOVES multistrike like you saw.

So if i understand it corectly you do this:

Setup
1) Be in frost spec
2) Have Thermal Void active as lvl 100 talent
3) Have the Icy veins glyph active in the lower left corner
4)Make a macro like this:
/castglyph Icy Veins 4
/cast Icy Veins

To active the glitch
Activate the macro
As soon as you active the macro spam ice lance

Correct me if i'm wrong. But will test it out later on.
