Arena rating exploit?

3 times today i came across diffrent groups in arena that did something really weird.

first off -
All 3 groups wore nabs, with the worst gear ever, i had better when i dinged 70, and wore at 1900 rating.

2nd, right before they die it seems they DC or w/e since i cant kill him.

3rd when i can attack again and kill him it says "-19374728292 rating new rating (3000)" and at their side it says "-0 their rating lets say 1800"

it seems there is a bug, that causes you to not lose points. and only receive when win. so when you know youre losing, they do something to prevent losing points?.

Does anyone know more about this.

Dunno about not losing rating, but they may be using this tip http://www.mmowned.com/forums/wow-ex...-yourself.html to get that much rating with that bad gear...

Depends on how long the fight is. In some fights, after X amounts of minutes, no body loses rating, if your rating is 1500 and you're against someone 1900 (happens if not many people are in your 2v2, 3v3, 5v5 that are arenaing), then you tend to only lose seven rating, but usually none.

Sometimes if I know I'm going to lose, I just sit near one of the pillars because most pillars you can get feared through, and I pop ice block in them, so no one can target me and I don't lose rating.

This bug you speak of OP isn't controllable... happens all the time...

You can kill people in pillars...

hmm, i wonder how a rogue green geared, warrior and mage can get up to 1900 rating, with that set up and gear, we killed them in like 20 sec. so its not the duration thingie.

and for mr wiseguy saying gz 70. ive been playing arena since it got out, and have never ever faced this bug. my entire guild didnt know what it was either.

well 1900 isn't alot of rating all my teams are 2k + =| and if your decent player with gear you can get that easy

btw, 1900 rating in greens, well its doable with skills but its still highly unlikley

Agreed, when you get above 1700 rating resilience comes into play. If your running around in greens I seriously doubt your going to get any higher than 1700.

i have never seen that... once it said we've won 36 points but actually it gave us like 17 ... other times it didnt even get us a point, but the thing you explained never happened to me...

You do know that it's possible to get a high rating with your mains, play games with your alts and they it's all good

Addon called arena master/sspvp.

shows how many rating gained, how many lost, current rating, new rating on both teams.
